With the word glass melting we mean the creation of a new glass by assembling different pieces which become so fluid as soon as they come in contact with the heat. The result is that they are so deeply blended in an irrevocable way to allow the realization of a work of art.
You take two or more glass sheets and on one of them you make a drawing with crystal fire colours and allow them to dry. Then you put the second sheet on the painted one and finish the work with mosaic glasses or glass chippings using your own imagination. After that you put the work into the oven and slowly heat it up till it reaches 760 centigrades and the work must bake for about 8 hours. Eventually the cooling (with the oven closed) must be very slow in order to guarantee the full restructuring and the recovery of the molecular stability that the material had before the heating up. At last the work of art is ready!
